Ready or not, (Rheumatologist) here I come!

Wednesday, August 14, 2013

I filled out the paperwork for my rheumatology consultation tomorrow. Note to the doctor: a specialist like this really should have a bigger space than a 4 inch. line to write down why you're seeking a specialist. And a one inch space to write down what joints hurt?! And another measly one inch to write down what joints are swollen?! I hope he's good at reading in the margins. . . If you are inclined, please pray that this appointment goes well and that the problem is identified. If the problem really is best treated by another doctor I'd like to know but at the same time I really don't want to be passed on erroneously. I'm a bit nervous about all of this.

I have made up a list of all my medicines, surgeries, family history, allergies and any other information I have for the Doctors and print it out when I have a Doctor appointment. Adding extra information as to aches pains etc can be added. This way I just have to write "see List" in that small space. I had a pharmacist tell me years ago that he wished more people made a list.

Not just all the forms and paperwork but how many times do you have to repeat yourself? I am praying that your appointment goes well and you get answers and relief.

Hoping this is the doctor that can help you. I just hate those little size spaces to answer their question inquiry. I always end up making a list of all my prescritions and put look on added paper for mes. in the tiny box. There is never enough spaces on any doctors forms to fill out. Serves them right when yp write up all the edges, thought they would have learned by now.
