I have been on vacation for a lovely three weeks! It was awesome.
We started at the family Cabin in the Caribou of British Columbia (hello beautiful british columbia) i love living here! We did two hikes and mostly enjoyed hanging around the dock from morning until night. it was so lovely to actually just relax..... we spent 8 days alone and then family joined for our remaining 4 days and it was great we boated and swam in the lake, I even wore a bikini infront of my boyfriends family ME AT MY HIGHEST WEIGHT. But sometimes you just need to live life? I don't want to look back on my vacations thinking I wrapped myself up and didn't have a good time.
THEN! I surprised C with a trip to San Francisco for our 6 year anniversary... *cough* girlfriend of the year award *cough* anyway! we spent 5 days in San Francisco two of which we attended the Outside Lands music festival which had a lot more than just music .....
Hello Paul McCartney, Nine Inch Nails, The National, Yeah Yeah Yeahs.....
Then we spent some tourist ALCATRAZ. I have been dying to go to Alcatraz for as long as I can remember! I was so excited to find out when we were there it was the 79th Anniversary and there were former convicts and residents who lived on the island and more events going on all day. This is right up my alley I love crime shows and the whole bit. So anyways besides seeing my favourite bands play I'd say Alcatraz was the highlight of the trip we spent about 4 hours there!
And now I am back to reality.
We ate surprisingly healthy on our trip San Francisco has so many healthy options if anyone is ever there please take the time to head out to Berkeley and check out Cafe Gratitude it's vegetarian/vegan amazingness. you will not regret it! we cooked most breakfasts ourselves and ate some lunches and most dinners out and indulged in quite a bit of craft beer, but hey it's vacation right? so i'm a little scared to step on the scale but I feel like I maybe just broke even... didn't lose or gain which would be fine by me. Now I need to get back into the game sit down meal plan and make my work out plan.
Did I mention my I have a future sister in-law TO BE and she asked me to be in her wedding party, IN FEBRUARY. I gotta get on this! I hope to be at my half way point my then and I don't think that is an unrealistic expectation and a good goal to keep in mind, being in wedding photos I will see for the rest of my life! okay peeps I've blabbed a bit! Time to stalk all your blogs and see what you've been up to :)
I have a zillion more photos on my instagram if anyone cares, add me:)
