my biggest problem .. Boredom

Wednesday, August 14, 2013

this allows me much leeway to do just about anything I want to do . start something and then get lost with .keep toss memories take me to a thousand places . Time on my hands leads to not doing more . I need to make time for me to do more for others . COMFORTABLE IS NOT WHAT I WANT TO BE . . If I feel uncomfortable then I can be more . do more . outside Me . over and above . I hope that I am making sense . emoticon emoticon emoticon

I walk daily three or more hours in addition to cleaning house and all that other spots that need me to take care of . I just get bored easily . want to do more for others .

My mother use to say "If you tell me that you are bored you are just insulting yourself for not being good company so go outside and entertain yourself"

I think that when we stop using food to entertain us we have to get a lot more imaginative. You could make a list of things that you would like to do when you have time and bring it out when you start to feel bored.

Sometimes what we call bored is actually tired. If so Take a nap.

I saw the title of your blog and just had to read it. When reading it, I thought "Did I write this?" An aha moment on my part. Now what do we do about it? People often suggest volunteering, but do we really want to do this and where would we volunteer? I'm thinking more along the lines that I would like to learn something new, something to keep my mind working and focused. Socializing would be nice - I will start with family and go from there. For awhile I was on a mission to go to yard/garage sales. I looked for things to use in my house and change things around. That helped a little, but I had to look through a lot of overpriced junk to find things. I hope you and I can find the answers we need. Housework and walking only go so far.

Maybe I am just easily amused, but I don't think I have been bored since I was 9 years old. There is always a good book that needs to be read. I still work, selling real estate and between the computer, sparks, the gym, etc. I don't seem to have a lot of extra time. Always ready to get up in the mornings, because you never know what the day will bring. There are so many places to volunteer your services that would really love to see you. I can always find something that needs to be done, but I don't always have the time.

Boredom is time I need to put on my headphones and walk...even if it's just in the house. I have to start moving or I lose my way.
