1st Phase - Three Month Goal

Wednesday, August 14, 2013

Commit to it!

Own it!

Like Chris Powell tells his clients, he sets goals over a year. I am committing in the here and now that I am setting a three month goal. I am going to own this number. I am going to work toward this goal with my whole being.

3 months is 13 weeks. Last night, Mike, was asked to lose 118 pounds in 3 months. Now, I realize that Mike weighed more than I do. However, if Mike, can do it, than why I can't I set the bar high and work hard? Do I have some things mentally to continue to figure out, sure, but so does everyone on Extreme Weight Loss.

So, my three month goal, is 20 pounds.

Good for you! I know you can do it. I have been watching that show only for the past month since I noticed it was on, I have seen it like 3-4 times. It is great motivation! I love Chris. I wish he could be my trainer. emoticon

    #gobecky.

(SuperTrent takes out #abacus) Let's see..... 20 pounds 13 weeks......

About a pound and a half per week. Sounds reasonable! Way faster than I've ever lost weight, but you tend to be more dedicated to the cause than I. emoticon .

As one who has lost about half that in four months, all I can say is be ready for the plateau. That can gobble up some major time.

"However, if Mike, can do it, than why I can't I set the bar high and work hard?"
* As a born-again lazy weight-loss person, I would ask you why you should (I've set the bar extremely low and am letting the weight kind of lose itself). But given that you are a hard worker, show us how it's done. I'm very open-minded.

"Do I have some things mentally to continue to figure out, sure, but so does everyone on Extreme Weight Loss. "
* I've watched that show (Watched it back when it was called Extreme Makeover: Weight-loss Edition). It's an interesting model.
- Do you have a trainer?
- Do you have an accountability partner like Chris?
- Do you have the home equipment to make it work?
- How are you going to work the mental stuff out?
- What's your reward for hitting the three month goal?

I'll be rooting for you! Keep us posted. Since my weight comes off so slowly I set an alternative goal to do the 30 day squat challenge which is outside my comfort zone. I will have a measurable goal that I will know if I do it or not. emoticon

Best of luck to you! That was such an awesome episode of Extreme Weight Loss last night. I think we can all learn a lot from Mike!
