Yesterday while I was in the shower after my workout, I thought about how lucky I am to have a husband who is encouraging and supportive with my weight loss goals. He doesn't feel I need to lose weight but is supportive of my goal to lose the extra pounds and get healthier.
His days are incredibly busy but because I have a long commute to work, he makes dinner while I exercise. He keeps his chips at work (he works part time at the local grocery store since retiring from the City) and is my voice of conscience when I am tempted to stray. When I'm wanting something extra, he can be counted on to remind me to log it before I eat it. It's rather annoying sometimes but most of the time it works. If I tell him I want it anyway, he's okay with it. He doesn't brow beat or make me feel guilty about the occasional cheat which I appreciate. He's supportive enough to remind me to log it, giving me the opportunity to think about it but also supports me in my occasional cheat, recognizing if I deprive myself too much, I"ll totally derail.
He's a good man and I count my blessings every day. My wish for everyone else is that their families are as supportive as mine is.
Ciao for now
