Magically Lost 5+ Pounds

Actually, It's more like 7 pounds, and it really wasn't magical. I'm just not retaining water anymore. Anyway, that taught me two valuable lessons: Ride out low points due to the hormonal blahs and don't freak out when weight fluctuates. Number 1 made number 2 very difficult this go round, but I hadn't been so high in weight in ages. O.K. months and I haven't had such a dreadful T.O.M. in a very long time. I had to take pain meds for like three days straight.

But that is over and this week, the eating is back to "normal," and I am drinking water regularly. The veggie challenge didn't quite stick, but I eat more fruits and vegetables than before, so I'll take that win. When I get paid again, I'm going to buy more fresh produce and invest in big frozen bags of veggies and maybe fruit.

I also did make it to the gym today for two hours, but realized I was too tired to life weights or do situps, so I lifted for about 10 minutes and did cardio. I stretched for like 15 minutes, which is long for me, but I was wussing out towards the end. Now, I feel like I ran a marathon. Tomorrow, I'll shoot for thirty minutes of arms and twenty of core work. I'm sure by next week, I'll be doing my normal routine. However, I can't wait to walk-jog again. That may be my treat on weekends until the weather gets dreadful.

I did most of my goals for today, but I didn't manage to do random acts of kindness. Well, maybe two if giving advice and lifting other people's spirits count.

So, it looks like I'm off to bed early. Sheesh.

    I routinely fluctuate by at least 5 pounds depending on how close I am to TOM. I try to judge my weight only by the week after, just to be consistent. I do weigh at other times, but refuse to really "believe" what happens from one week to the next. Comparing to a month ago shows a more realistic pattern. So annoying, because when you are trying hard to do all the right things, that is too long to WAIT!

    Way to go...I am fighting T.O.M. in two days and am very bloated...up 5 lbs on the scale this morning...but know a lot of it is water....ugh!!!
