Today wasn't very active at work so I made up for it at the gym. I used Jeff Galloway's 1 minute system to do a 36 minute run/walk. After a 5 minute warm-up you do 28 minutes of run/walk and then a 3 minute cool down walk. I downloaded the music that rings a bell when you change pace. Afterwards I did my stretching/yoga/strength training (floor exercises). I was totally soaked by the time I finished . It wasn't a full hour today, but it was intense. When I got home I worked in the garden for a few minutes. I was so overheated that the 88 degree weather felt cool!

With the running today I did discover that I need to wait before training for a 10 K. I got winded after running 1 minute and I was dying after 20 minutes. A few weeks of running with this program and then I'll rethink my decision. I really would like to run the 10K next September in the "Run the Gap Marathon" here in Pocatello. I've done the 5K a few times and once I came in 3rd in my age group!

I had to be at work an hour early today to oversee a special -project. I set my alarm clock but still woke up wondering if I had missed it. 1:30, 3:22, 4:30, and it finally went off at 4:50. It's going to be an early night tonight and hopefully I'll sleep the night through.

    Change to 30/30. And slow down your pace. That should help your endurance.
That said, I lost a lot of stamina when I started TP. I'm slowly regaining it, but it takes a while because my body has to get used to my new way of fueling it.

I love the Galloway method - I wouldn't be able to run any other way.

I know just what you mean about waking up multiple times when you have to have to get up earlier than normal - I hate when that happens.
