Ah, the joys of small-town life! Our city hall has 3 fountains under grates on a flat plaza. Every year, just before the kids go back to school, is Bubble-Mania. The fountains are awash in bubbles, a sprinkler on thee roof "rains" down on them, and the kids have a ball!
So today, Erik, Sean, Grampie, and Nana all walked. We walked and walked.
First 1.6 miles, then 0.6 miles, then 1.9 miles. And to think that Sean is only 3, andErik 6. Both of them are great walkers. And, for an hour-and-half, the boys romped and stomped in the bubbles.
For some reason, Sean took a longer nap than usual. And I had no trouble enforcing Quiet Time with Erik, a minimum of 30 minutes when he sits quietly on his bed reading. (And if he falls asleep, as he still does on occasion, so be it). Today, even without napping, his Quiet Time was most of an hour. I doubt if Daddy will have any trouble getting either one into bed tonight!
