Friday August 9, 2013 I went into labor, had to have a repeat c-section so didn't take long for him to make his arrival!
He was born 8/9/2013 at 11:28 am weighing in at 8 pounds 1 ounce. His respiratory rate was only at 80 (out of 100) when he was born so the N.I.C.U (neonatal intensive care unit) nurses and Dr's were called. We were told he was having trouble transitioning and that he would need to spend a few hours in the N.I.C.U, while he was up there they tested all his vitals and his Blood sugar level was very low (in the 30's) so was told he'd have to stay in the N.I.C.U overnight but would be able to come down to my room by Saturday morning. Well his blood sugar wasn't going up so he ended up staying there until Sunday morning, his vitals and everything were running great! (YAY) So Monday my dr comes in says it's ok for me to come home, now just hope that they let little Luke be discharged (fingers were crossed)!!! Pediatrician comes in and says he can go home!!! So here we are our first full day home :-)
