New Leaf

Today is a new day! Today is an opportunity for a second chance! Today I am starting over, but that is okay! This time it will be different because I am different; I am more determined than ever, I have reviewed my mistakes, and ready to start making a difference in me.

I have learned that seeing your long-term goal in the distance and not seeing it get any closer can be very discouraging. This causes the sense of giving up. I have reevaluated my goals and made them to be more obtainable. Instead of my goal strictly being my goal weight that is 65 lbs away, I have switched it up to a much smaller goal. My goal is to first go from the obese BMI level down to just overweight and work my way from there. This first step is a 25 lb goal, but it comes with such great reward. Not only will I have lost the weight but I can also see that I have moved a level on the BMI chart.

I am excited to start again and I really believe I can stay committed to a smaller goal and I know it will make all the difference in the end.

You have reminded me of myself. I had over 200 pounds to lose. I could not look at the big picture. I made small commitments of 5 pounds to lose. And at the completion of each 5 pound commitment, I made a new commitment of 5 pounds to lose. My highest weight was 357. I now weigh 151. One small commitment at a time. Stick with your plan. it works. I will be praying for you. Judi
