My vegan experience

Tuesday, August 13, 2013

My vegan experience.... Well, the actual eating and making my lunches went well. I felt good with no pain or hunger. Once I found some recipes it was quite easy.

However, I was verbally abused by DH and SIL who didn't understand why I was doing this even after I explained it. They thought it was an affront on them and did NOT take it well. Thank God the month is over! I'm back eating meat but I'm in great pain. Not sure if the pain is from meat or some food allergy or just moving the wrong way. I did have a fun night of dancing right before the pain attack. My IBS kicked in the last 3 days of being vegan and that could have something to do with the pain.

My Dr thinks I have a food allergy which is making inflammation in my body. Narrowing it down has proven difficult. If someone has any tips on figuring out an allergy I'm all ears.

Gosh, I am right there with you. I just found out that I have an allergy to Wheat, Oats and Whole Milk and it is a whole new world for me. Not sure how allergic or which problem is caused by this allergy!

Good luck in figuring it out!

Sorry that you weren't getting support at home. Anjay (Anjays-Journey) has some inflammation issues and I know that she was seeing someone. She had to slowly add things back in to see what caused the problem. She might be able to give you some pointers. emoticon

Could definitely be an allergy to red meat. Or Wheat gluten. You might want to do a test for Celiac disease. You could try eliminating all gluten from your diet and see if you notice a difference, gluten is everywhere. Also, you might want to check out "eating right for your blood type".. It makes sense to me.

Hope you can reach some sort of conclusion as to what is causing all the inflamation. If you are eating a lot of red meat, you probably need some digestive enzymes ?? emoticon

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice on how to figure out if it's an allergy or not. My DH has IBS and he pretty much has to watch dairy. He can eat it, but only in small portions. It's very hard on his system. He has found that eating paleo friendly foods keeps his IBS in check. I don't know if you have tried that lifestyle or not, but maybe you could try it.

Good luck
