Inspired to lose weight
1. Do one thing really well. It is easy to get overwhelmed with the thought of having to lose weight and this is especially true if you have a lot of weight to lose. To build a can-do attitude you will need to focus on one task at a time. Commit to exercising this week or eating a healthy breakfast and then when you have mastered this task move on to a bigger goal.
2. Keep negative thoughts under control. A true way to kill inspiration is to allow negative thoughts time to build inside your head. You will not be able to completely avoid thoughts that make you want to quit or give in to temptation but you can stop them before they grow and become powerful. When you first become aware of a negative thought tell yourself to cancel it and shift your focus to what you really want which is a lean strong body.
3. Identify a mentor. A mentor is someone who has lost weight before you and you feel you can relate to. Mentors are great for building inspiration which can carry you past weight loss hurdles because you can pull strength from the thought, "If they can do it so can I!"
You can get and stay inspired to lose weight when you get these simple strategies working in your life.
