Re-commitment

Know what is harder than getting started? Re-starting!! OMG, I didnít have anywhere near this much trouble getting on track when I first joined Spark.

I have to be honest, I have not been ďwalking the walkĒ that last month or so. Iíve been eating whatever I felt like. I have been spending time playing video games instead of getting my exercise done. I have rediscovered my evening date with the ďcork screwĒ. I can blame a list of circumstances longer than my arm for all the horrible choices Iíve been making.

But when push comes to shove Ė it has been my choice. I have actively CHOSEN to indulge in my bad habits. These are the habits that lead me towards 200lbs of porky yorkie!! I have promised myself I would never go back there. Iím not going to break that promise.

So in the last few days, Iíve been walking again. Actually will be leave for a 3 mile walk in a few minutes. And I cleaned the junk off my elliptical. Cardio is back.

I tracked ALL of my food today for the first time in a month! Every bite!! Iím under calorie at this point and Iím going to try to stay in range.

Iím not organized or prepared like I was in the beginning. But I have one thing that the Kitty back then didnít have. I am absolutely CERTAIN I can do this. After the Warrior Dash this weekend, Iíll get a plan back in place. Until then, I know what I need to do. Iíve still got my starts and Iím going to earn them daily.

Warm Wags! And Keep Moving!

restarting sucks but in time we get better and better emoticon emoticon . kidding , just start over again , don't think it's a restart. and this time you don't have only " bad" habits. you have good habits too , just give them a chance to come back. emoticon emoticon

After all you have been through, you more than deserved a break. Now you're ready to get back on the horse!

I'm excited to hear how the warrior dash goes! I hope you have a ton of fun.

I also hope your husband is recovering nicely!

Way to go......you pushed restart and are up and moving.
It seems easy to slip into bad habits.....been there, done that.
You got a grip and now you're on track again!!! Good for you!!

From what I have been reading, August seems to be taking its toll on many of us.
You have had much stress in your life the past few weeks, and we all seem to handle stress with food. It's easy to say or give you options for stress, but it still comes down to that "comfort" food.

You are always there to encourage others, and your SP friends will be there to encourage you. emoticon

I'm in almost the same boat...August has NOT started well for me, but as of yesterday I am back on track. Got myself a new FitBit to replace the latest one in my long line of MIA gadgets, changed up my routine with Peanut to walk EARLY morning so no excuses of "it's too hot" and am trying to eat healthier :-).

You can do it! Restarting is hard, but I've done it time and again! I too have had the same dates! But, it is always better to restart than to just quit! Bring out those pink boxing gloves and beat the hell outta the stress! Bring back the new and improved Kitty! You CAN do this! I'm with ya!

It's all good, since you are committed to getting back on track (hooray for yoU!) it could be said that you just took a break for a little bit. That is perfectly ok too, sometimes we all need to take a break for a bit.
Thanks for posting, look how may others you've just motivated!

Things are getting back to normal and I'm sure you are gonna do a great job in becoming active again! It's not the first time, so things will probably be easier since you know what works for you!

Even just taking a week or two off from exercising and then trying to get back into it is hard. I know you can do it too because you have done it before. The good thing is that are not starting back from the position you were in when you started on this journey. You know what to do and how to do it. I believe in you and will be cheering you along! emoticon emoticon GO KITTY! emoticon emoticon emoticon

One of the great things about succeeding in weight loss is that once you've done it, you know what you need to do to do it again (or just to maintain) so you don't have to put a lot of organization or preparation into it. You know what works for you. You probably already have all the right foods and tools on hand. It's just a matter of motivation and self discipline. And it sounds like you've got both! WTG tracking your food and exercising again! emoticon

You've got this! Just don't give up. You can always bounce back as long as you're still trying. You can get organized little by little. I'm glad you're back!

Good for you, you are not alone. I was slipping a bit myself and when I decided to get serious I got sick for a week with the flu. Today was my 1st really good day, got in a good workout & I have been tracking!! We can do it!!

The old law of motion... an object at rest will stay at rest... an object in motion .....

Once you do make the choice you are ready to re-start, and you get a couple of days behind you... you are back "in motion" and it really becomes easier to stick with it.

Stopping really does make it so much easier to remain stopped. You went through a LOT recently. I know you don't want to make a lot of excuses, but it would be hard for most people to not experience some slip during all that.

The important thing is you are BACK now!! I'm glad things are looking up for you, and look forward to cheering you on!

I know you can do this as well. Kick things into gear and when you feel like slacking, just remember how hard it is to come back from bad choices.
