Made it through the weekend with "the boot" -- actually I found it is much easier to maneuver around with it then I thought! Even though it is an air boot, I had assumed (incorrectly) that it would feel like a cement block, but I have adapted to it pretty easily, am able to get around stores, etc, and even mowed the back yard with our self-propelled mower on Saturday (with a couple of plastic bags tied around the bottom so that it would not get wet or grassy!).
Today I got to the Y and did all upper body exercises -- 10 minutes of cardio via "Fluid Upper Body Ergometer Machine" and then 30 minutes of strength training. Missed the elliptical and/or recumbent bike, but the fluid machine is a nice and varied cardio warm-up.
Tomorrow is going to be a little tricky, as my Y 8 lane pool is closed for annual maintenance this week, so I may have to take a chance and hope there is a lane in the 4 lane pool I can walk in (Dr told me to not swim, just pool walk). Normally the Y outside pool would be an option, but we are supposed to be getting storms tomorrow, so it'll all depend how things look when the pool opens at 12N tomorrow.
