A Year of Breast Cancer

Monday, August 12, 2013

It was almost a year ago when I found the lump. I am cancer free now. I had my three month check up last month. My blood work was great. This past year has been a combination of surreal, terrifying and of personal growth. Surgery, chemo and radiation have left my body exhausted and weakened. Everyday I am trying to make choices that only support my health. That includes eating healthy choices, vitamins, being active and keeping my thoughts positive. I want to do the run for the cure breast cancer fundraiser on oct. 6 this year. It's my main goal!!!

Good for you! Glad your test show that you are cancer free. As a person who has had two major lupus flares resulting in chemo and other therapies, I understand what you mean when it has been a year of growth and making choices leading to health. I am rooting for you. emoticon
