Cautiously fantastic. What a week. Quasi successful, at least I spent time paying attention to what I ate and understanding my triggers. I tried to counter act my triggers by being prepared with healthier options. Brought my breakfast to work, bought an afternoon treat that was 1/2 the calories, 1/2 the fat, lower in sugar and higher in fiber the my traditional afternoon snack to keep at my desk. Packed the fridge with fruit, veggies & lean meats. All the above kept me 85% on track. It takes commitment to be 100% on track.
Other accomplishments this week- ran 3.2 miles in the a.m.; ran a 5k race; did hard labor (for hours!) on both Saturday & Sunday in the yard. Really hard work in the yard (digging ditches, power washing the entire house, and moving granite blocks-phew).
I am down approximately 4 lbs. It has been consistently down for 3 full days. That is how I know it is a true weight loss.
My goal is to be 100% committed to eating no more then recommended ranges over the next 7 days.
