Sunny Blah Day

Sunday, August 11, 2013

Guess what I thought was sinus turned out to be the creepy crud (cold, flu???) cos today my tummy has been going nuts and I'm all achy and my head feels like it's in a vice. . . . So, it's a good day to celebrate doing nothing.

We have beautiful blue skies with occasional fluffy white clouds. It's the first day in weeks that we've been able to see the surrounding mountains.

And the thornless blackberry vines are loaded and coming on like crazy! Fully ripe are larger than my thumb!!! Can you say SAAWWEEETTT!

I do love blackberries - but am so allergic to the vines - even the thornless. Remember going pickin' with my Mom and Aunt when i was growing up and coming home with itchy welts all over my arms. Oh, but the berries were so good - and Mom's blackberry pie was the best!! Your picture brings back such fun memories.

And sound like your skies have cleared some. My sister in Medford said the air was much better yesterday and she did get out for a bit.

So, do enjoy the bright sunshine - and have a good do nothing day. I think my day is going to be a full one.

Sunday was a Blah Do Nothing day for me too. After yoga I had planned on going out and working in my flower beds which need much tending right now, but the sky was gray and it was spitting rain so I said "forget this" and decided to read and nap all afternoon to get caught up on my rest.
