Well, my boss was able to hold on to her baby for longer than she thought. She had a C-section on 8/9 and had a nine pound baby boy. I'm thankful I didn't have to work any long stretches, although, now I am working full time for a few months to cover her maternity leave. Hubby is so funny. We had to go out and celebrate my "promotion" the other night. He's been giving me a hard time for years. Every time he calls me at work, he asks for the head pharmacist. I then say something like, "Ok, I'll get Amy for you." He wanted to celebrate because now he CAN call me the head pharmacist.
Things are going well at work here. There are lots of changes going on, and they are all scheduled during her maternity leave. This is not her doing. These are system things she has no control over. She's new at being in charge anyway. The guy who was in charge left the end of June, so the whole department is going through lots of change. It's all good. We all get along really well and are all on the same page as to what needs to be done. I'm feeling pretty confident in my abilities since I finally have gotten the training I needed here. The men who used to run the dept wouldn't show me much and would frequently say things like: You won't need to worry about that, or The tech will take care of that. I learned very little.
Weight loss is going fine. I was able to maintain my weight around 165-167 lbs for four weeks. I am now starting another round of HCG and am on my "loading" days. The first two days of drops, you basically pig out. It's hard to train my brain that this is what I'm supposed to do. Tomorrow I start eating the 500 calories a day and I'm looking forward to it. I don't feel well on loading days. I don't feel sick, just not great.
I've been trying lately to get out for daily walks. I haven't had time to log anything, so I'm not sure how consistant I've been. I'll try to get on and blog again. I've had some fun family outings, and other stories to tell.
