Running a 7 minute mile

Sunday, August 11, 2013

So one of my goals was to get below an 8 minute mile. On the last little bit of my run today I looked down at my watch 7:58! HOLY CRAP!! It was basically an all out sprint. So that's what that feels like? Now that I know I can do it, gotta keep at it!

Weekly recap:
Sunday: rest
Monday: 2 miles and SWEAT
Tuesday: SWEAT and hot yoga
Wednesday: 400'sx3 and SWEAT
Thursday: SWEAT and a movie day:)
Friday: 3 miles SWEAT and bootcamp
Saturday: Spin SWEAT and POWER

1596.10 miles for the year!

Oh my goodness! That's wonderful! Funny how goals are so relative...I have never run under a 10 minute mile in my whole life!! Congrats to finding a goal for YOU and working towards it!

As always, you're amazing!!! I'm tired just thinking about an 8 minute mile. On a treadmill I can probably do a 10 minute mile with an occasional 1 minute sprint at the 8 minute mile setting until I pathetically droop my way back to the 10 minute mile pace. Congrats.

Good for you!!! Make sure and listen to your body and give it rest if it needs it. You have a good schedule, but still listen!!!
