update on the virtual walk to Subiaco Abbey

It's been an interesting journey so far in my walk to Subiaco Abbey. I quit walking/running for almost 3 weeks because I over-trained and my legs were in knots. Now I'm back to my walk/run and I'm being more careful that I don't over-do it.

4/29/2013: 207 - 2 = 205 (I wonder how much thinner and healthier I will be when I finally arrive?)
5/07/2013: 205 - 2 = 203 (I'm back from out of state and back on my virtual party trip.)
5/09/2013: 203 - 2 = 201 emoticon
5/11/2013: 201 - 1.6 = 199.4 (Big dogs loose on property at corner; didn't want to go near them to finish 2 miles and don't know the mile markers to make it up if I walk the opposite direction)

5/16/2013: rained out
5/17/2013: 197 - 2.5 = 194.5
5/19/2013: 194.5 - 2.8 = 191.7

5/27/2013: 185.6 - 2.5 = 183.1 (I think I had a Fibro flare after the last walk/run. And Saturday, I had a reaction to the sun while I was mowing, so no walking for several days until today. It feels good to finally be back out there!)

I'm really glad to be getting back to it. Today I woke up with my alarm to get ready to go out for my run and instead I heard very hard rain, lots of lightening and heavy thunder and decided to wait until it stopped raining to go out because of all the lightening. When I was out the other day in it, there was quite a few seconds between the lightening and thunder and so I wasn't afraid. But this morning, almost as soon as the lightening flashed, the thunder came crashing behind it, so I thought it probably wasn't a safe thing to run in.

Anyway....I hope that you are also enjoying a virtual walk to someplace that you are very interested in seeing. Maybe by Spring I'll be finished with this one and will get to reward myself with an overnight visit to the monastery.
