You'll note there are very few changes to the old game plan. I started tracking my fay and cholesterol intake without making major changes. The early indications are that my diet isn't really the issue. Could I do better if I didn't eat the pizza for lunch today? Certainly. But I have a feeling if you look at the way I eat over the course of the week, it's going to show I do better than okay. I will keep tracking, but I am not going to freak out about this particular issue anymore. If in February, this proves a bad idea, we'll reconsider where to go.
I'm still trying to get a better fix on finding more time for writing. I think I am going to bring my lap top to the library once a week (the day will depend on the rest of my schedule for the week). If I can get that to work, then I'll try to find some more time to add in. Once the 8 year old is back in school, I should have more time.
Getting through August without losing it, is the current goal. Well that and trying to come up with some sort of tentative schedule for making sure I get the writing, reading, and workouts in.
Once I have my schedule tentatively made, I can tweak it from there as I try. The worst part is knowing that I have very little control over the issues that crop up and there aren't always enough hours in the day to reconfigure the schedule. This isn't a matter of not being able to tell people no. Trust me on this, I can tell people no if they ask me to do something I can't find the time to do. However, with the oldest and his issues, if the state calls us and says to jump through a particular hoop immediately, I need to stop and jump if you know what I mean.
I feel a little better about those issues in any case. It's a start.
