Day 9 and Change Is Coming

Day 9 – 8/9/13 – 141 (up .6)
This is ridiculous. I have tried Primal/Paleo/Low Carb, whatever you want to call it. I love the food and the fat, but I don’t lose weight on this plan. I only lost weight on the low fat vegan diet. And that causes my cholesterol to go up. But is it dangerous for the cholesterol to go up? All it means is that my body is making the cholesterol that I’m not eating. My body is supplying what it needs, or thinks it needs. Which is worse? Higher cholesterol numbers or carrying around too much weight? And, so,,,
B – Smoothie (kale, banana, peach, oat bran, chia, cucumber, water), coffee
L – mini Milky Way candy bar (was in a meeting and didn’t get out until 4 p.m.)
S – Celery & Almond butter
D – Sauteed mushrooms, steamed broccoli, green beans
Ex – 0
I hope that the changes I made today will actually get me back on track. I have always said that the changes in my life only happened when it clicked in my mind. I think I was trying to go in a direction that sounded good, but didn't work for my body. So, I'm going back to what worked, to what was easy, and what allowed me to lose weight. We'll see how this change works. At any rate, I feel good today, food was low today, but I was busy and I'm ready to make exercise a more important part of the plan. My Fitbit came today, but I won't have the time to set it up and learn how to use it until tomorrow afternoon late.

    I do best with a moderate diet and plenty of exercise. Not too low carb, not low fat either. Lots of low glycemic veggies and fruits. lean meat, goof fats, nuts and seeds.

    Oooh, you'll enjoy your fitbit! It's such a great motivator - check the number, do some more steps, repeat...I love mine!

Well done working on a food plan that works for you - it's weird how some people do well on one program but others don't. I didn't really start to lose til I cut back on (bad) carbs. But my hubby is having trouble with eating that way so we're still trying to find what works for him.
