She was right...

Friday, August 09, 2013

My dear Spark friend LIS was right! A meltdown helps...and it helps getting all those conflicted emotions out and makes room for more positive ones!

One good thing is that I have gotten stuck in to cleaning and sorting the house out!
I got rid of my baby change table that I was using for storage at my back door (my "baby" is 9 years old! ) and it was sooo good to carry it to the curb and get rid of it. Now my back door area is clear except for a looks better, now to fill holes and paint that area! That is my project this coming week and weekend.

ALSO, I need to paint my son's room, which means packing up countess piles of LEGO, thankfully he is putting it all into boxes and labeling it all himself!
( I think he is scared I will toss some! :-) )

Anyway, it is keeping me busy and in the meanwhile I am working on implementing my PLAN....
I am trying to get back into the habit of tracking and keeping an eye on what I am eating!

Once I show DH that I am doing that, and after my physical on MONDAY my DH is going to get that GYM membership ( 3 month ) for me! O my! I am so excited!

I feel a lot more hopeful and even if I don't lose an ounce...I am aiming to get more active and eat in such a way that is lifestyle and nor swinging between ultra healthy and binges.....I is hard....but I am determined! That being said, I am going to do everything I can to find out what my body's resistance to weight loss is caused by,

Hubby and I had a good chat about things and we both need a change and so we are working to get the house nice enough to sell! We are giving ourselves a year to do it!

I have a busy weekend ahead, lots of cleaning and painting and filling holes and vacumming and I am doing the music at church on Sunday and my MIL is here for the weekend until Monday Evening......

Thanks a million times over for your love and support! WE CAN DO THIS - TOGETHER!

This is on a walk we did last weekend!

I am so happy that your hubby will get you a membership to the gym. As you said, just moving and exercising is wonderful even if you do not lose weight. I know that exercise has helped me with reducing in areas and just firming up.

    Have a good weekend!!

Lego - Fear is a great motivator :) Lego is packed into icecream containers, in a drawer, hidden under my coffee table - for GKs and other visitors' small fry

It's quite possible that, when you have finished all the house renovations / decorating, you won't want to move after all. Enjoy the projects you have planned. Give the MIL a pot of Spackle (PolyFilla) and a spreader - you can chat while you work together.

Everything is better after a meltdown, my 9-year-old could tell you that. LOL! Glad you're feeling better about things. :-)

Tracking your food is a great start, good or bad choices.. after a while you will see a pattern and your choices will get better and better!! Moderation is key - the extreme swings from really healthy to binges is hard on the body and the emotions.
I am so happy you will get your gym membership and have the motivation to use it.
It is all in the mind - if our head isn't in the right place, it isn't going to happen - let's make it happen!! I'm up a pound from goal.. my appointment is Wednesday, time to get back on track!
