Well! Remember the other day when I was all discouraged and ready to go out into the garden and eat worms?
I have exciting news-- I was offered a GREAT job in Sequim, WA. I haven't taken it yet, but I think I'm going to. It seems perfect-- the only thing is that I will be across the country from my family, and I will be sad to leave my church and my friends here in Minneapolis. But: with over FOUR weeks of PTO in the first year...I think I'll be actually able to make it home MORE than I have been able to lately. It pays incredibly well for a new grad, has decent benefits, and sounds like it will be a good environment for me-- challenging enough that I won't get bored right away, but with enough support from the management and the rest of the team that I should be able to be successful. Wow. I said "God is good" the other day, and it wasn't any less true then--- but yeah, God is good. A real answer to prayer.
PLUS-- and this is almost more exciting than the good pay, etc-- Sequim is literally right next to Olympic National Park, which has fantastic hiking (and no Grizzly Bears), and right on the ocean. Lots of opportunities to live an active outdoor lifestyle and lose some weight!
