summer seasonal depression

Thursday, August 08, 2013

I am not a happy camper today. perhaps it is all this rain and gray that has me not feeling myself,
life just is at a place where I am just sad

Perhaps one day things will fall into place in a positive way but for now I just don't like it

I believe God knows how each one of us feels. Prayer is such a strength to me!

I often have summer depression on beautiful warm sunny days....which may seem really odd to most people, but it is common. I feel that I should be out in the yard working in the garden, going for a walk, or taking my grandchildren to the zoo.....however, I just have no interest in anything, preferring to remain in the house. Then I feel guilty for not taking advantage of such a beautiful day, and I envy people who are out enjoying the weather.

On rainy dreary days it's only natural to feel sad. Those are the days I don't feel guilty about curling up on the couch to read a good book or take a nap. Tomorrow....or even later in the day I know my mood will change, and so will.

It's hard to picture summer depression, but then, all this rain doesn't seem very summery. emoticon emoticon
