What was I THINKING??

Wednesday, August 07, 2013

I did something incredibly stupid today.

But then, I'm allowed one stupid thing a day, right?

No, please!

OK, what did I do?

When I was at the store today, I thought of getting something to snack on.

So what did I get?

I got me a box of Froot Loops, or the store version of it.

Just a handful at a time!

But it was at the third handful today, I realized what I was doing.

I was going back to the bad habits

that made me fat.

So, when I realized just what I was doing, I threw the box out post haste.

Throwing away the past.

So, I learned from this.

You did great! Erm, not the buying part but the throwing out part, if it's a trigger for you. Good self-awareness! P.S. Love you pictures with the facepalm--have felt like that more than once. Take care and have a great weekend! emoticon

That was a great blog. I was the girl who eyed the mountain of donuts. No more. I totally believe in throwing away food that is a gong food or a trigger food. I have put pies down the disposal so I will not eat them.

You showed strength and a determination not to return to old habits.

I understand where you are coming from! You did a wonderful job reconizing the onset of old habits and nipped it before it got out of control. Awesome!

You were not stupid at all. You stumbled but caught yourself very fast.
I know I could not have done the same as quickly.
Congratulations on recognizing the trap so rapidly and then even better escaping from it.

I love it - very thought provoking and I am so proud of you for just throwing away those fruit loops .. amazing !
Can I recommend Sensible Portions veggie chips, orville redenbacher smart pop and frozen grapes - they often help for me when I need to snack.

Great job emoticon

Keep it up
