I am on a roll ! Today is day 10 of my no junk food challenge and Im going strong ! I have no desire for sweets or junk. Im loving this ! Each day it seems to get easier. The best part is I dont miss the junk. Im making healthy choices without even thinking about it. Thats the way it should be.

My goal is to go without junk food thru this weekend until Moms visit on Monday. Im still thinking about how Im going to handle her two day visit. I could continue the challenge, even tho that will be hard. Im pretty sure I could skip potato chips with no problem. Dessert could be an issue (Mom loves her desserts), but with a little willpower I could skip that too. What I could do is get something for DH and Mom , something small or that wouldnt tempt me, and have something healthier available for me. Yogurt ? Yogurt and fruit ? I could also look for a healthy or healthier recipe to try. Like the pineapple angel food cake recipe I have.

At this point I really dont want to end the streak just because Moms coming. I need to really plan this carefully. Then at the end of next week friends are coming for a cookout and dip in the pool. Ill need to do the same thing, decide how I want to handle dessert.

I feel strong and in control of my eating and will conquer the unhealthy habits.

S peach smoothie

EX store walking 30 resulted in a lot of pain, did some wii tennis late afternoon

    OH boy. Life is about choosing your "hard". Is it harder to stay junk food free during your Mom's visit or possibly make strides backwards if you DO indulge? Those are the hard choices! You'll know what's right for you. I'm sure of it!

    Is that all you are having in a day? I'm hungry looking at it!

For snacks strawberries with fat free cool whip is good or slice them and put them on angel food cake.

The usual crudites is always good with a nice low fat dip.

Lightly steam broccoli and cauliflower to keep the crunch also with a nice low fat dip.

or a nice low fat vanilla ice cream with a touch of creme de menthe. It's refreshing cool, and very pretty. A nice treat for mom!

    Great job on your streak....YOU can do this!
As far as the dessert dilemma. I posted in a blog (Extra Strawberries...)
a very tasty Strawberry custard cake I found in "Prevention" magazine. Simple to make and very tasty :) Jump over to my page and check it out. May be something you could use when Mom comes over. emoticon
