Sorry that I didn't post yesterday. I have been trying to stay regular on here in hopes that it will keep me going day to day. So lets start with yesterday....

4 miles a nice walk a good workout and sort of a adventure. I encountered some deer. It was a first for me on a walk. They scared me because it was really dark but, It was neat. Another interesting thing that I never would have encountered on the couch. Yesterday was a okay food day. I did eat more than I usually do but.... I did stay well within my approved diet ranges... Which I hope is good.

Now to today.... Interesting and worrying but I am keeping my cool and taking it easy. So when I left today I noticed a little pain by the back of my thigh. and it was making sort of a funny noise if you know what I mean.... I was thinking at first that maybe my muscles were just a little tight and needed to loosen up. I took a easy route though just in case. I am not going to push it and injure myself because that would be a disaster with the progress I have made so far. After about 2 laps around the lake at about .80 miles I decided it was time to cap it off at that point and made the final turn for the remaining .20 miles. I was about half done with that when I got a lot of pain. It was cramping pretty bad and I began to limp.... At this point I just eased it home at a very leisurely pace and made it home right at a mile.

I just need to take it easy and not push so hard sometimes. I still did finish my walk which I am happy about but you gotta take it slow sometimes and that is hard to learn. Diet is still going well... I am going to a baseball game tomorrow and I will probably just do some weight training in the gym tomorrow and avoid using my legs at least to that extent.

Well I would say everything is fine at this moment and I am not injured and am not considering medical attention at this point. I am not stupid by any means and I know when and if I need to seek medical attention. Right now I just need to take it easy.

    Great for listening to your body! That is so important. Try stretching regularly, make sure you get in plenty of water and a banana here and there for good measure ;) You are doing fabulous!

    Hope your leg gets better soon. I'm the same way, I don't over do it. I'm in it for the long haul... great job with the walking!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

  Sorry to hear about the leg...hope it starts feeling better soon! I know all about not going to the doctor for every little thing tho... I try to avoid them myself until absolutely necessary. Hope you have a good time at the game emoticon .
