Vince Young signs with Green Bay Packers

Quarterback Vince Young, who has not played in an NFL game since 2011 and has not been on an NFL roster since the Buffalo Bills released him last preseason, signed with the Green Bay Packers on Monday, according to multiple reports.
ESPN's Josina Anderson reported that the 30-year-old Young, a two-time Pro Bowler with the Tennessee Titans, received a one-year contract. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Young likely signed for the veteran's minimum salary and that none of the money is guaranteed. oung worked out with the team Monday.
The previous backups for Aaron Rodgers were incumbent Graham Harrell and second-year pro B. J. Coleman. Both played in Saturday¡¯s intrasquad scrimmage at Lambeau Field and reportedly have been splitting reps in training camp.
Young last played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, as Michael Vick¡¯s backup, after five years with the Tennessee Titans. He worked out for the Oakland Raiders in April, but the Raiders¡¯ interest waned and they ended up drafting Tyler Wilson later that month.
Most recently, Young was in the news for his financial and legal troubles. A judge ordered his Houston home inventoried to settle a $1. 7 million judgment against him. Young is suing his former financial adviser and the company that loaned him that money during the 2011 lockout.
