It was an great weekend. Mom and I drove out to BC for fresh fruit. It was 4 days of drive, sleep, drive, sleep, etc. Over 3,200 KM. But it was a nice visit. Only a couple of storms to drive through. I really hate that part of it. The storms were pretty bad. The second one shook me up a bit.
But we're home safe.
I was supposed to work today. My morning did not answer the door, and my afternoon called to reschedule the visit. Part of me was okay with that. I'm pretty tired still. lol
So my thoughts quickly turned to the fact that all weekend, I only got in one easy run - just under 2miles.
It's time to start Week6 Day1 of my half marathon program. Run6min, Walk3min and repeat 8 times. Yep. 8. That's 72minutes. Add on a 5min warm up, and at least an additional two minutes cool down (on top of the walk3min that you finish the program with). That's 79minutes. Almost an hour and a half.
I can do this. I think I will do this today. Get out my water bottle and hydrate. Take a couple electrolytes before I go. Get dressed. Pack my electrolytes and energy sources. And get out the door.
It's overcast. It was raining, so it's humid out. But it's not too hot. I think today might be a perfect day to get back on track with my running.
Time for me to get my butt off this couch and moving forward again.

Back from today's run. Got in 5.7miles. Not bad for having been off for the past 4 days.
