I need my sparkfriends - yoga related

Tuesday, August 06, 2013

I am going to my first ever yoga class tonight, alone, and I am so nervous. I've already thought about cancelling a few times but I've already paid and there is wine after. I get so nervous in new situations plus a new activity and I am freaking out. Somebody please tell me I'm crazy or that I really should be nervous.

No reason to be nervous about a yoga class. Just relax and enjoy the feelings. I am always so refreshed after a yoga class. Don't sweat what you might not be able to do now. With time and yoga you will be amazed at the changes.

I'm the exact same way! I feel for you. I was really really anxious before I went to my first class and it turned out to be no big thing. The instructor showed a modified version for just about every pose and it turned out that I didn't really even need anything modified.

Tell yourself you can do hard things. That's what I have to do and just know that once I get through it, it's over and I'm fine. Just push through the anxiety and you'll be so proud of yourself.

I love yoga. I really need to get back to it.

I'm back on track now and hoping to stay that way. Do me a favor and just leave me a comment everyday and remind me how much I hate being fat. We're gonna be awesome.

Nervous and excited are the same sensation.

Negative vs. Positive.

Don't say you are nervous.....say you are excited!
