24: Whole 30 Journey

Monday, August 05, 2013

Worked from 4-9:30 today. It was okay but I had to condense product together to make more product fit into the space and relabel. No wonder why I never get things organized at home. haha.

I had bad cramps this morning and thought it was something I ate last night. Turned out to be AF showing up so the routine sort of went by the wayside today as I was curled up in bed with bad cramps. emoticon

I went for my massage and adjustment today. While I was checking in the receptionist said 'Enjoy your massage, Michelle!' and another lady that was checking in said 'Yeah, enjoy your massage, Michelle! You're so lucky!!' Ok. I know people are just trying to be nice and friendly but I so badly wanted to say 'how am I lucky if the reason I get massages is because a ladder fell on my head?!?' I know it's an innocent thing to say but still gets to me for whatever reason.

I was telling the chiropractor that I am having trouble sleeping because my arms and hands are going numb and then I wake up in more pain. She said it will get better in time. Oh's been almost 4 months already!! Then got on the topic of people making ladder jokes (this week the jokes have been 2 for 2 at work) and how it bugs me. So her response was that she is going to come up with a good one for Wednesday when I see her again. Gah! I know, she is just trying to be funny, but dammit!! emoticon

Hubby ordered dinner for me tonight while I was out and picked some flowers. It was so sweet of him!

Well, tomorrow is my early day, so off to bed for me!! emoticon

Wow, sounds like you have to put up with a lot. How insensitive can some people be? And that comment about you being "so lucky"... Do they think you're just pampering yourself, getting a massage just for kicks? (there would be absolutely nothing wrong with that, of course, but the fact that you need to get it because of an injury... well let's just say that "lucky" is not the smartest choice of words).

My arms used to go numb during the night when I was asleep but that was only because I was sleeping on my side without noticing it. I modified my sleeping patterns and now I always sleep on my back. That helped me eliminate all numbness for good. But I assume in your case it might be due to the injury.

Sure hope things get better soon.

I'm sorry people have been insensitive to what you're going through. emoticon
Hang in there. I used to have issues with my hands and arms going numb too. It sucks. It's crazy that pinched nerves in your neck and shoulders can cause so many issues. Hope you get relief soon. Congratulations on your Whole30 progress!

Sorry to hear you have to go through those aweful jokes! I hope the massage did help though! DON'T GIVE UP! Flowers from a dear DH was nice!
