New Paint = New House

Today I finished painting the inside of the house. It's a lot harder than painting the outside, because the house is full of "stuff." You first have to figure out where to store things, then actually move it away, clean up the mess left, paint the vacant area, and then put everything back (if you can find it all). I don't know exactly how long the whole thing took, but the average room was about a week. This last effort what the front of the house, which is all mushed together (flow through?). I started the Friday before last, did the south half of the living room, and then the north half. That took seven days. Then I did the kitchen and eating area, which another four days, for a grand total of 11 days to do one big room. I remember in my youth painting a house (on the outside) for money, and I had a week to do the job because the owner was going away on vacation. I actually finished in four days without hurrying, and then stretched it out a couple more days by putting a second coat on all the window frames (which really needed it because they had been without paint for so long. That was a two story, four bedroom clapboard house, and I didn't have any problems because there was nothing in my way.
This is a tiny little three bedroom, two bath house stuffed full, and I'm a lot older now. But I do have to give the BW credit - it looks a lot better with a new coat of paint over everything.
