Weigh in #7 & Weekend Eats

Monday, August 05, 2013

SATURDAY

Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 slices of toast, 1/2 of an avocado mashed to spread on my toast, cherry tomatoes, turkey sausage with ketchup and iced coffee. My fav breakfast right now!

Lunch: I knew dinner wouldnít be that healthy so I had a smaller lunch. Apple, Yoplai Greek yogurt and blueberry almonds.

Dinner: Split nachos with Rich. It was Rich and my 2 year anniversary and we re-created our 1st date and went to the comedy club. It was so much fun and I laughed so much.
Also, even though nachos werenít healthy I call this a win because last time we went we ordered appetizers, a main meal. many long islands and dessert. This time we stuck with just an appetizer.

Bonus: the dress I wore for our date. It fit again, yes!!!

Snack. McDís vanilla ice cream cone

Exercise: Again it was way too cold for river walking. Iím praying that this isnít really the end of summer! We barely had a summer. Booo. Anyway, I took Becca for a walk and did Jillianís Ripped in 30 again.

SUNDAY

Breakfast: Fig and asparagus omelet with a side of fruit and a chocolate and banana cappuccino

Lunch: I made baked falafels, cilantro lime couscous and roasted brussel sprouts.

Dinner: Breaded chicken sandwich, fries and a chili. Ugh, I knew I could have made better choices but I didnít. I felt terrible after this meal and had a stomach ache later that night too. I have to remember that feeling next time I want to eat like this. Yucky!

Snack: Mango

Exercise: Total Calories: 2,913 (Yikes!)

WEIGH IN RESULT #7:

Starting Weight: 233
Last weigh in: 210.9
Current Weight: 209.4 (-1.5)
Total Weight Loss: -23.6

Summary: I fell into my typical pattern where I eat really healthy one weekend and then do bad the next. Last weekend was awesome and this weekend was not stellar. There were a few healthy choices but overall I was not happy with this weekend. I need to break this pattern. I cannot keep doing this. I need to still consciously think about my decisions and not think that itís because itís the weekend that I can eat whatever I want. This will take some practice and time. Iíll keep at it and the more I do it, the easier it will get.

On the plus side, one of my goals was to get down to 209 by my anniversary. Well I got down to 209.4 and these measly .4 wonít take away all my hard work this past week. The first 3 digits are 209 so Iím calling this goals met. (Check & check!)

Now I gotta think about my new short term goal and start attacking it with all I got.

Awe, we all do it. That happens to me all the time, I feel sick after eating crappy food... then I think "I better not do that again, look at how I felt!" I still eat it again after a while, lol.

You look so beautiful in that picture with your dress. Love your smile. Glad everything is going well! =)

What about working toward a turkey trot? Thanksgiving is a ways off, you could do C25K by then and be all ready for a 5k. Learning to run was super motivating to me.

* Congratulations!!! .4 rounds down. Happy #anniversary. New dress looks nice.

* Food for thought #seewhatididthere....

I have a lot of numeric goals listed for my journey. They meet the #measurable criteria of #SMART goals. @ the same time,

One of my more spiritual goals is to, for lack of a better term, eat like a typical healthy American. That means my diet is mostly foods that I both enjoy and are healthy. At the same time, there will be summer holiday weekends of cookouts, occasions that involve the big meal followed by #deathbydesert, and some all-go weeks of constant eating on the run.

like the new profile pic, btw

It is good that your are identifying patterns and that you have definitely made progress! Good job on limiting yourself on your anniversary. Special occasions are a big downfall for me (where I tend to go all-out and get whatever). emoticon emoticon

Awesome loss this week, lady! So proud of you that you met your 209 goal! :) You'll see 199 in no time!

I really don't think your weekend was that bad! It's okay to indulge in a meal or two, and at least you are acknowledging you'd like to have less indulging meals on the weekend. I always give myself 1 or 2 meals on the weekend that I can order whatever I want out and just make sure I listen to my stomach. If I am full, stop eating. Yesterday I had a Portillos Cheeseburger and small fry for dinner, lol. I took the top part of the bun off and just ate the bottom bun and burger. It probably shaved off quite a few calories w/o the giant bun! Small things like that go a long way! :)

P.S. your beach background really makes me want vaca... NOW!!!

Keep up the awesome work! So proud of you. Oh, and that dress is SUPER cute! I WANT!!

Congrats on two years! Man time flies by, I swear it was just yesterday when you started dating Rich! Even with the splurges, you lost weight so that means you did something right! You are doing so well!!!
