A Look Back

Monday, August 05, 2013

My challenge from the SparkCoach program today is to look back at what I have accomplished, what I have changed and what is better in my life.
Because of a complication, my surgery scheduled for today was postponed and I was feeling anxious and out of sorts. This brought me right back to what is important.

Some, probably not all:
I have met several goals and have been able to set new ones.
I can walk several blocks without being tired or out of breath
I can get up and down without so much pain in my knees.
I can wear all the clothes in my closet.
I can fit in chairs and seats easier.
I have lowered my cholesterol numbers to a safe place.
I know my surgery will be easier because of the weight I've lost.
I have learned to lighten up some recipes and find I really like them better than the old ones.
I have learned every once in a while I need to get out the measuring cups and food scale again because my eyeballing isn't very accurate.
I have so many new friends and helpful coaches who are here to keep me on the road to this great new lifestyle.
And most of all I have a new friend who drove two hours each way to meet me when I traveled to her area. Life couldn't be better!

Way to go, MawMaw! emoticon emoticon

Thanks for sharing this with us. I think I'll take a look back myself. It will probably help me to get motivated again after two hard weeks and now this one where the scale didn't go down, but up. emoticon (wake up call)

It was my pleasure to meet you. You look quite different now than you do in the picture you posted on your page of you and your husband. You have done very well indeed.
