Decisions, decisions.

Where to go next to eat out! Yep that is the big question of the day. My DH's sisters are still here. They are here until Wednesday. We eat out everyday as it's just so much cheaper here in Mexico to eat out. Yesterday they all went to my favorite Italian place but I asked if they minded if I stayed home. I can't eat Italian and really my body needed a break from eating out. Of course they didn't mind so I ate my baked chicken at home with nopel tortillas that tasted really good. I also watched a movie. Kind of interesting movie based on a true story. It was called The Sessions. I think she was up for an Academy Award for it. It was pretty graphic and I thought the actors did a good job. I was surprised that she did the movie. Anyway it was a nice break for me. And my body liked eating the good bland food.
But now I am wondering which place we will take them to today....so many choices.

I of course will walk the dogs first. That is one thing that I do not let company get in the way of......my dogs and their walk is very important.

One thing that was a bit of a drag last night was an alarm system at someone's house down the mountain going off the entire night until like 9am this morning. It was a pain in the butt. Most likely some "snowbird" who set the alarm and aren't here to shut it off . For me I just have learned to put in earplugs and do okay but felt bad for the one sister who can't sleep with ear plugs. People like that need to let their neighbors who are here know how to turn their system off....kind of rude to not have a back up plan.

I do hope all of you are doing just great and have a wonderful day.

I haven't seent he movie - who is in it? You are
so good at knowing what your body can and
can't handle. It is wonderful that you could
stay home and eat what you wanted, and was
also good for your DH and emoticon his
sisters to enjoy a sibling evening.

I know you do well eating out, so I'm sure wherever is chosen you will make it work for you. That alarm problem sounds awful. Hope it is resolved by now. Bet you are looking forward to getting back to your regular routine. Won't be long!! -Marsha

I've always wondered whether a loud alarm with no owner in sight would actually attract thieves, because they would know the place was unattended. At times, I've kind of wished it would with car alarms; but the loud false alarms on cars don't seem to be as common as they used to be. Maybe people learned.

Eating out is tough and presents a dilemma when you want to hang out with family and friends. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of appealing choices on many restaurant menus that don't break the calorie/fat bank! Sounds like you're making it work though, good for you!

What a dilemma to have! I miss my mexican places, even if only to let DH eat out... Here the nearest decent eating place is 40 miles away, so no quick popping out for a meal. i am doing all the cooking and I'm running out of inspiration too... but I'm maintaining and he has lost 10 pounds :)

Hope the alarm was turned off ! good grief. Rude isn't even the 1/2 of it!

Glad you felt comfortable enough to do what you had to do for you! Good going!

My husband would love if eating out was cheaper than eating at home. He loves to eat out! It sounds like you all are having a good time and I too like time to myself once in a while.

Hopefully, the alarm system is now "fixed" and won't go off again. Yes, people need back up plans for such situations!

Enjoy the rest of the visit and I'm glad the dogs are still getting their walks in!

So annoying about that alarm - what is WRONG with people?? I'm sure you'll find a good place to eat, but I'm glad you tended to your own needs. They're extremely important when it comes to food and make an enormous difference for your health, too. Let us know what you decide to do...

I agree it is good to have a night off from eating out. When I go away on a vacation without my DH, he wants to go out to eat when I get home. But I've usually eaten far too richly while gone and just crave simple food.

I like that you don't let anything get in the way of walking the dogs. I'm like that too. I'll walk earlier than usual but walking them is my little bit of heaven every day.

Sorry about the noise. How annoying!!

I'm sure you wont have any problem finding somewhere lovely to eat. Have a great time. I'm not a big Helen Hunt fan but she was great in that movie.

I hope the police will follow up to make sure there was not a real break in.

Sorry about the noise, but glad you were able to stand up for yourself about eating! That can be difficult when family is involved.
