One thing I can definitely tell from the eating healthy and exercising is an increase in energy. I donít know about you all, but this increase in energy is gonna wear me out! I had a weekend that ended yesterday. At least I think I did. In the end I spent an hour on the bike at the gym on Saturday. Filed a bunch of papers and just did general cleaning. Went to a couple of stores to get stuff for the trip. Also throw in a few loads of laundry.
Sunday was a 30 minute walk. Then I cut the grass. Then I went to a friendís house where we put a trailer hitch on my new car and then put together a bike rack. Then I went to bike trail and rode 17.4 miles or so. Oh yeah, throw in a couple trips to the library to get some music for the drive. It is leaving me a little draggy this morning. But holy cow did I get a lot done. Then I am walking home tonight and will need to get out to get a dress shirt for the cruise so I can do the formal night.
I n a positive note, I lost enough weight that I fit into one of my suits, my favorite actually. I had planned to not try and just go casual on formal night. Then the girls started giving me a little hard time about it so I tried one on and it fit. But no dress shirts do, so I need to get a smaller one. Actually, if anything the suit is too big now. But a little big looks better than a little small.
I am pretty much all set to start packing, even though I wonít actually pack till Wednesday night. The goal is to be done Wednesday night so I can relax and get to bed early on Thursday for the drive. I plan to walk home today and Thursday. I may even walk on Wednesday but think I may take tomorrow off other than the last minute laundry.
It was an awesome day yesterday to be out on the bike. Nice and cool in the shady areas and other than being saddle sore today, I had an awesome ride. I averaged 16.4 mph over a 17 mile ride. Anytime I am above 15 mph average I am a happy man. So that was flat awesome. It was a nice flat ride though so I didnít work too hard, but it was nice to be on the trail. Let the mind wander some as cruised along. Even though I also got in a workout doing it, it was a nice ending to a busy weekend. It reminded me that I am still on track with my recumbent work at the gym and it will be great next season when I get out on the road again.
