Reading your post makes me think of my son , My son is SUPER POLITE , He loves to make people happy but he knows how to balance it , When asked to do something he really cant or doesnt have time to or just doesnt care to do he always looks with a blank face and says " No" If you want to tease him and ask him twice he politely says " I said no." By that time you know your not getting anywhere ! lol Hes like Spock on Star Trek ! looooooooool It just throws people off when he simple says no with out any excuse ! lol

An interesting article. I realised I was a people pleaser when I went to karate with an injury rather than 'let people down' in case they thought I was faking it! No more. I know I have the right to say 'no'.
