Day 51. Counting Steps

Sunday, August 04, 2013

Curiosity got the best of me. I walked to the park today and counted
my steps. Well I can say I was surprised. 2,000 round trip. To say
This little lady is going to be walking her butt off is an understatement.
I read that one should do 10, 000 a day. Lord give me strength and the
Energy to accomplish that goal.

Church was wonderful today...all about FAITH.
That we should see FAITH as a VERB....not a NOUN..
To share the have it move... not just sit within you....
This got me to thinking...Connie needs to be A verb.
To get out and show other what she believes.
I'm talking about getting healthy by taking care of myself.
By walking to get to a healthier weight.
Wben I walk to the park I carry my bible. I sit and read there.
I so enjoy that time. I am showing others my love for my Lord
and that I care about myself enough to exercise.
So I will now think of Connie as...... a verb!

I absolutely agree with Nancy Jean. You ARE a verb! A living, loving, creation of God. Every day that you "do" life with God, you are a verb. Love it! Love you! Hope you have another wonderful spark-filled day!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

HI Connie, I know that you will accomplish that goal of 10K steps/day. You just have to take it one step and one day at a time. When you first get the FitBit, I recommend a couple of days doing your usual routine so you have an average starting point. Then, very slowly, set a goal for yourself to add an "X" amount of steps each day. You'll be amazed what you can achieve.

Also, a good tip from Nancy Jean..when you're on the phone, walk in place. What I also do, is when I'm waiting on the Microwave for a few minutes, I'll walk in place. You will find yourself getting very creative on how you can add more steps.....park further away in the parking lot at the shopping center,... at work, I take the longer way to the bathroom....I'm curious to hear what you come up with. emoticon

Great walking. 2000 steps emoticon Walking is not one of my strong points. On land at least. Keep going. You are setting a great example. emoticon

You are a VERB!!! Not only in the way you get your exercise in, but also taking God with you, and letting others see that you're not ASHAMED to have him on display!!! emoticon I'm so proud of you!!! Keep it up, young lady!!!

Be blessed,

- Nancy Jean -
