Just a squeeze

Saturday, August 03, 2013

When I got to the hospital to see my honey, I was greeted with the fact that he had been extubated. He is really worn out, but breathing strong, though labored. He could answer his name in a whisper, and squeeze the Neuologist's hand when she asked.

He gave my hand a little squeeze when I asked.

What a relief to have him off the machine, and working at breathing.
I just came home to nap.
That is what I will do.

I ate oatmeal banana applesauce bars for breakfast that I made, and had a breadless snadwich for lunch, and fruit cup. Later I had a chocolate bar.

Napping chair is calling my name.
walked 1.5 miles already today.

Do rest where you can. Try eat more fresh citrus fruit, as Vit C combats stress. Make sure you are well hydrated too..
