Some other numbers over time

Saturday, August 03, 2013

There is more than one way to find out you're shrinking. I invested in a tailor's tape early on for a few dollars and now I know how else I'm shrinking besides the fact my scale doesn't tell me I'm over 200 pounds.

Here are my stats, the first number being really close to my starting size and the second one being today's number, with the difference after that.

My chest has gone from 48 inches to 41 for a 7 inch difference.
My waist went from 47 to 39.75 inches for a 7.25 inch difference.
My hips went from 53 to 46.5 inches for a 6.5 inch difference.
My thigh went from 27 to 23 inches for a 4 inch difference.
My upper arm went from 14.25 to 12.5 inches for a 1.75 inch difference.

No wonder my clothes are a smaller size and I feel like I'm drowning in anything I still have from before. (I've kept some old tattered stuff I clean in at home.)

I've gone from xxl's to larges. My pants, in today's sizes, went from 22's to 14's, that's 4 sizes! I've lost 2 band sizes and a full cup size in my bras (which is impossible to find in stores still!).

The number on the scale is not the only number that needs to be paid attention to, there are plenty of other numbers to look at too! You can get a tailor's tape at any fabric store for just a few dollars. I think it's a great investment!

Today's Holidays: Grab Some Nuts Day, National Mustard Day, National Watermelon Day and Prairie Dawn's Birthday (Sesame Street if you didn't know).

    Fun to see the numbers!
Lots of things to measure in this journey to health.
I'm doing okay... DH gained another two pounds to 318.
He is on the road 5 days & eats as he wants. At home
I put better things out for him.
Says he is not eating fast food.
Buffets once a week at least.
He worries me, he is 71.

I have a ways to go before clothing must be changed,
but look forward to that day. I keep smiling when I think
about the future, but enjoy every day in the meantime.

I've got a really old tailors tape from when I did dressmaking at school! I did use it a while ago and know that I am down on my waist and slightly down just under my bust.
You results are great and a testament to all the good work you have done towards your goal.
Keep up the good work.
