I am sick..ugh! Staying busy...

Saturday, August 03, 2013

Yesterday after I posted my blog - I went to the drs as my asthma has been a bit out of whack! I have a bout of bronchitis... ugh!.

My grandson's 6th birthday party is today and I am home. I never miss my grandkids parties, but I was up until 4:30 with breathing treatments and wheezing. I had three hot baths, three breathing treatments, hot tea and crackers, as the meds make me nauseous. Everytime I fell asleep I would wake within a few minutes wheezing so bad I could not catch my breath. Scary!

At any rate - I got some good news too yesterday - I was finally accepted as an independent Jewelry Rep for an awesome company - I am so excited! I plan to have one party a week, being a full time student. These necklaces are just so beautiful people want them!

I ordered my books for classes on Tuesday and they came yesterday. My new printer will be delivered next week.

I did not get to dad's room yesterday - mom had plans yesterday - so we are going to work together Tuesday on dad's room. I have his bible, his scooter, his driver's license, I have a few things that he wanted me to have. I am finding comfort in his bible - the passages that he highlighted and studied bring comfort to my soul. To know that my dad loved God and had faith in Jesus is so very comforting.

I continue to pick up the phone and push #3 - I already shut off his phone, but I forget - it is in the quiet of my days and nights that I really miss him! We talked sometimes 5 - 6 times a day. Although in thinking about that - most days not... in the nursing home his signal was bad and most of the time I left him a voice mail.

I cannot believe that he has been gone a week already! One day and one step at a time!

My brother posted this pic on FB.

I too wish there was a phone that reached to heaven and could talk to my husband.

It's not surprising that you're sick, grief and stress can cause that. I hope you're taking good care of YOU and giving yourself time to recover. God bless and comfort you and your family. emoticon

Jean, the asthma does sound scary! Prayers for you that you will be breathing normally soon. I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear dad. While we take comfort in knowing our loved ones are in their eternal home, we still miss them terribly until we're reunited again for all eternity. Thinking of you and asking God to bring comfort & peace that passes all understanding as He holds you close.

emoticon on becoming a jewelry rep. Your necklaces must indeed be lovely.

Hugs, Bev (an Awesome A)

I am sorry you are sick. I recall after my Mother died, every family member got sick in some form or another withing weeks after her death - I believe it was our immune systems low from the grief. Just continue to take care of yourself the best you can. Rest, drink lots of water or hot tea. Take one step at a time.

The FB pic reminded me of a note I found in my daughter's room shortly after my mother died. My 6 year old daughter had written a letter to grandma telling her how much she missed her. She said, "Grandma, I wish you had a phone in heaven so I could talk to you." It still makes me cry thinking about it. She put the note in an envelope addressed Grandma, heaven. That was more than twenty years ago and I still think of things I want to share with her.
