lickety split quick like update

Trying for a quick update today...not my usual wordy self. That's hard for me, but will challenge myself anyway. :-)

*Getting ready for our juice fast as previously blogged about*
The Walrus is unpacking the juicer as I write this and we're making some notes, figuring out the ingredients. I pick up the CSA box today, so we'll see what's in that and then make our shopping list. The CSA is always good for the greens so I'm hoping they load us up (we've gone 2 weeks w/o the CSA because of the rain).

I REALLY need this. My main goal is to temper my sugar cravings, if not completely eradicate the cravings (for refined sugar, that is). I really think that will go along way in healing my body's inflammation (allergies and other undiagnosable ailments). Plus, losing weight lately has been hard. I know it's hard anyway but lately it's been different. I used to be able to change a habit or 2 and get results. Lately, it seems I have to do a lot more. I also see the doctor on Monday so I'll get a good base line on my bloodwork and make sure nothing else is going on. But truthfully, I think it's mostly age and lack of discipline and my body's unwillingness to put up with my crap anymore. ;-)

In other news, another check for the Summer bucket list...We went to Six Flags. Westley brought a friend. Good times.

    Looks like you guys had a great time in six flags. *\(^o^)/* good luck on your juice fast. Let us know how you are doing time to time. I am thinking, I need to do something deferent things again so I can resume my health journey.

    You are preparing to make a change and that is a huge step forward. I keep saying I've got to get back on the straight and narrow nutrition & fitness road.     When I can just say "no" to processed sugar everything goes better. But it is really hard. It is everywhere! emoticon emoticon

    Juice is an acquired taste.. but you can do it.. once used to it .. you really kind of crave it.. remember day 3 is not so fun.. so plan on feeling like crud.. but stick with it and you will feel great..

    Fresh juice is delicious. I've never done a juice fast, just substituted some meals. I look forward to hearing about your success.
