It's Friday! Which means we are headed to our friends' house for dinner. They are kind enough to host a dinner most Fridays for about 8-10 of us, and it is always lovely (and healthy—they are also losing weight and are great cooks who know how to make good, healthful food).
Wine is always on hand at these dinners, so I've volunteered to be the designated driver, which is my usual tactic when I want to avoid alcohol. Not drinking is going to be a challenge over the next few days, too because we will be at the Ren Fair tomorrow (mead!) and out on the property working on Sunday (a cold beer always tastes so good afterwards!) and hanging out with my S.O.'s uncle on Monday and Tuesday—a guy who also likes to drink some cold ones. Basically, if I can make it through to Wednesday without drinking, I will have risen to the challenge! I'm determined.
Workouts kicked my butt a little bit this week. I'm used to taking one day off a week, so this was a bit more intense. I also feel like I'm having some trouble figuring out the right number of calories to eat with as much exercise as I'm doing. Lots swirling around my head, with new supplements, some dietary changes for the adrenal fatigue, etc. Plus, work has been hectic, and my husband's under a lot of stress. Right about now is when I wish I was good at meditating.
I just sold some of my plus size clothes on eBay today. The last time I gave away/sold all my big girl clothes, I was so confident I'd never need them again. It's a strange feeling to be selling yet more of those plus sized clothes. Let's hope this is the last time.
