Les Mills Pump Challenge

Okay, second workout of LM Pump done. For the first workout I ignored the calendar and did Pump and Burn instead but I got my butt handed to me so I decided to listen and do the suggested Pump Challenge instead

Much more "doable" workout. I guess it's taking my mind a minute to accept that my muscles are not nearly as strong as they used to be. No worries though. Sometimes it's refreshing to be a beginner.

I'm doing sort of a hybrid with Les Mills Combat and/or Turbo Fire depending on how energetic I feel on my cardio days

I have to say that the low weight/high rep format of Pump is deceptively difficult. Upon visual review it looks sort of easy (hence my jump to Pump and Burn) but when you actually do the workout, NOT.

I actually get nauseous fairly quickly while doing them which is only an effect I've experience while doing long and heavy strength workouts. It will be interesting to see what sort of result I get from the difference. emoticon

    I bought LM Pump, did it for awhile but I think like you, I did too much too soon and burnt out. I finally broke down and bought the P90X exercise disks and will start a challenge on September 1st.

    I know one day that I will re-visit LM's pump, I have LM COMBAT and love it, but I have so many exercise dvd's that I have to schedule/rotate workouts in.

    I am so happy to see you here again... I have missed talking to you and reading your blogs!... keep up the good work... yes... emoticon emoticon ... I am with you all the way! emoticon

    One of the hardest things to do is listen to our body, especially when we're not where we thought we were. Been there, done that. I'm glad you're listening to what your body is telling you.

    I don't have pump but I do have turbo fire, turbo jam, hip hop abs and rockin body. Love all of those workouts!!

    Can't wait to see your results with this program! Before, Les Mills, I was used to heavy weights and smaller reps. But with Les Mills Pump, phew~ they had me sweatin' and workin' the whole time! emoticon

    This one guy who is the moderator on Facebook for Les Mills pump group (has done pump several rounds and got awesome results) always says to follow the schedule. It's written out the way it is for a reason. If the workouts become too easy, use more weights, as long as you can keep proper form.

    Day 2 done and on to 3! emoticon emoticon
