It's the end of my 7th month with SP today and as always I've completed my monthly measurements. I only weigh myself on Wednesdays so I'll be using that number as my weight progression; while I only ever measure my waist, hips, arms, and thighs on the 2nd of every month to chart the unsung losses (and, really, the more visual ones).
On January 2nd I started this journey in a very negative head space, reluctantly and perhaps a bit desperately. Nevertheless I got on the scale and found the tape measure and got to work. Here is where I started:
Weight: 225 lbs.
And here's a new before picture that my mother now admits to hiding from me because it's just that bad. I had to ask her for it so I can build a chronology of my weight loss and reminders should I ever fall into the same ugly pattern. I'm the one on the right.
Today, August 2nd, I gladly grabbed the tape measure and had these results:
Weight: 155 lbs.

I feel like I couldn't - or just wouldn't - see the results for so long. I knew the numbers were dropping on the scale as well as the tape measure, but this summer is really where I'm beginning to notice and appreciate the non scale victories that coincide with my weight loss journey. There are so many things I can do and enjoy that I haven't been able to in so many years. Not to mention the husband perks - I'll spare you - but while he never ever commented on my weight gains and losses over the years, he also hasn't been able to keep his hands off me lately and it feels pretty good!
So the grand totals are currently at:
* 70 lbs weight loss
* 12" waist loss
* 10" hip loss
* 7.25" thigh loss
* 2.25" arm loss
