Doing the Two-Step

I have been two-stepping all of 2013! You know the dance, you lose a pound, you gain a pound. In this case I've been doing the true two-step, two pounds at a crack.

Now I get it. I'm SP savvy enough to know I'm dancing because I'm not being consistent. I see the scale reflect my haphazard ways and go "Uh Oh!" Then I tighten things up and take those pounds off. My target goals fade. Instead of seriously aiming emoticon at my target I just quietly....drop it. And you know what happens when you don't have a goal, right? You wander. And that explains my two-stepping.

My goal is 5 pounds lost by August 20th (trip home for a wedding). When I set this goal I had an abundance of time. I have now two-stepped away 4 weeks of that time and am right where I was when I began! emoticon Yup, Day 1.

I still have time, and I've lost weight the past two weeks (yes!) and there aren't any true hurdles between now and then. I want to be dancing a completely different dance by August 20th. A victory dance emoticon .

So the name of the game for August is CONSISTENCY! And that's how I'll get to the emoticon

    You've figured it out and that's the "first step"!! The toughest one I am sure: and I have to learn it over and over again.

    Awesome, weddings tend to be good motivators for most women. Men not so much emoticon
