July Goal Results

Friday, August 02, 2013

1) Maintain my weight at +10 / -14 pounds

2) Maintain my budget and pay off 1 debts (revised)
On track

3) Finish my 1st Marathon
After various knee injury recovery periods I was back to building a regular running schedule again…and then was sidetracked by travel and illness. So back to the beginning for August…thinking that a marathon is not going to happen this year, my interests are shifting

4) Resume saxophone playing and look for a band to join

7) Improve sleep habits
Improved from June but still well below goal – a measly 60% for the month. I can offer the excuse that I was on a business trip for 1 week where the dinners were obligatory and didn’t end until 11 pm, but it’s just an excuse. I could have made it work if I had really wanted to. Need to get focused on this goal again.

8) Eliminate the Snooze

9) Learn French
Made a Dr. appointment and got a prescription filled. Have started trying to speak with my coworkers. Called the travel agency to change the time on my train ticket to Lyon.

10) Have fun and stress less; list other monthly mini-accomplishments
10a – got some chairs for the patio table, indoor rugs for the doors, dehumidifier for the bathroom; trying out different curtains to find something I like
10b – FINALLY changed the refrigerator door direction
10c – started organizing all the recipes I have collected from magazines over the years
10d – converted my daughter’s broken suitcase into a cat bed instead of throwing it out; cleaned her room (including underneath the bed & behind the dresser) and packed up her left behind items
10e – did some mending, mostly replacing buttons

11) Half Fanatic Moons
Same as #3

SCHEDULED GOALS (not yet in progress)
5) Travel
**5Q1 – met; Normandy, Paris, Compiegne & Oise area in January with my son
**5Q2 – met; Amsterdam
**5Q3 – will go to Bordeaux in August
**5Q4 – may go to Berlin in Nov/Dec

6) Set Triathlon goal date, start training

Good job on meeting and being on track with most of your goals!!! I totally relate to your injury induced marathon delay, it's a bit of a downer when your training schedule gets derailed emoticon . Great job on the mending, sorting, and organizing! Those are huge tasks! Well done for July!!!

Sounds like a successful July. Don't sweat the marathon....heal up first.

May need to put "Buy a bicycle" for an October goal!
