A couple years ago, I had set up a first goal to get to 250 lbs. At the time, i thought it was a managable goal...then i was diagnosed with hypothyroidism... and learned losing weight wasn't as easy as say...when i was 13!! I never changed the first goal, though maybe i should have to make it a little more manageable...but i didn't...250 was where i was at after i had all my kids...before stress and life put on 56 other lbs...my "baby" is now 19 1/2 yrs old...and finally i am able to say i am almost at that after baby weight...sad...but good...because that means i have lost 53 lbs to date...i only have 7 more to go...wohoo!!! A couple lessons I have learned.
1-small changes do make a difference
2-keep going, even up it a little from time to time
3-make more manageable goals, say 10 lbs at a time instead of 60!
4-a label like hypothyroidism does not have to make me who i am
5-it can be done if you set your mind to it
So, here we are...7 lbs to lose to get to goal...after 53 already gone...it's gonna be tough, but i know i can do it...i am not a victim to my stress nor my disease...i am me... and i can do it!
