migraines are for the birds

Any fellow migraine sufferers out there?

Oh, let me tell you. If you are one of the fortunate souls who doesn't have to deal with migraines, consider yourself blessed!!! I had to work today and by about the 1 o'clock hour, I was ready to fall out over the throbbing pain in my head. It started to feel a bit like this....

I move forward in taking a few Advil, drinking a bit of caffeine, making sure its not from low sugar, etc. I need to make sure that this is a migraine and not a triggered headache.

Sure enough, it gets worse. It hits that stage where all you hear is 'womp, womp, womp' from the Charlie Brown cartoons and that the only thing that sounds good is going home and doing this...

I tried really hard to focus on just getting through the rest of the day and going home. Headache turned in to full-fledged POUNDING, BEATING, and THROBBING. It felt like my brain was going to explode!!!!

So, went home, took my migraine meds, passed out. I just woke up after losing an easy 5 hours of my evening and am groggy, shaky and frustrated. Yep, my migraine meds give me the worst side effects....sometimes it makes the throbbing stop, but then I am left with a wrath of other symptoms I didn't have in the first place (tightness in my neck, inability to eat or drink, dry mouth, groggy, tired, etc.).

yep. If you don't get them, you've been given a gift. For my fellow sufferers, I empathize...

Maybe it really is true ;)

Peace and love! Goodnight all!

Migraines are the worst. Meds or no meds, my only useful treatment is sleep :(

Hope yours are rare!

A little cuddle with Bruce might be in order...
